The UK's most followed poet returns to #AsiaLitFest with her new book 'Great Goddesses'

Gill explored the stories of the mighty women of Greek mythology—the warriors, witches, monsters and mothers whose journeys have left an indelible mark in Western societies.

Gill was in conversation with literary journalist Sarah Shaffi

Joining us for the second event of the Asia House Bagri Foundation Literature Festival 2019, Nikita Gill launched her new book 'Great Goddesses', diving into a conversation about how Goddesses are portrayed in mythology. The poet also discussed her experiences as a British Indian poet and her Instagram platform—sharing what it's like to have half a million followers and the support of celebrities such as Cara Delevigne and Alanis Morissette.

Gill was in conversation with literary journalist Sarah Shaffi, and the event was followed by a lively Q&A session with the audience - as well as a book signing.

This event was held in partnership with Foyles.
