The Asia House Bagri Foundation

Literature Festival 2018

In 2018, #AsiaLitFest celebrated its 12th edition and highlighted literature from Turkey to Tokyo. We explored a range of themes, including the role of women in today's society, a reflection on the social and political trends sweeping across the world's fastest-changing continent and an examination of British Asian identities.

The emphasis on women's voices and stories tied in with 2018 marking 100 years of women's sufferage in the UK. Our speakers Mishal Husain, Elif Shafak, Sherin Khankan and Nikita Gill were just some of the remarkable women making strides in their respective fields and writing about their experiences.

We were once again grateful for the support of our Title Sponsor, the Bagri Foundation, who share our vision to celebrate Asian arts and culture and share it with audiences across the UK.
